The Ford Foundation created the IFP in 2001 with the largest single grant in the foundation’s history. Expansive and ambitious, the program offered fellowships in 22 countries around the world to support advanced studies for a generation of highly motivated social change leaders. Twelve years and more than 4,000 fellows later, have the program’s goals and the vision been realized?
